Topics such as current trends in residential construction in view of needs-oriented and sustainable urban development were discussed at the round-table discussion, which had been initiated by the BAUMEISTER editorial board and moderated by the editor-in-chief Alexander Gutzmer. JSWD staff, representatives of the “Lebensraum Ziegel” [Living Environment Brick] and a number of guests had been prompted by the BAUMEISTER Editorial Board to debate the “Urban Planning Cultural Initiative”. Furthermore, the utilization of brick in multi-level residential buildings and the desire for improved interplay of material quality and brick products in facade and roof designs were discussed.#
