Manegghof – Urban Living in a Former Industrial Site
The Manegghof marks the southern boundary of the sustainable Greencity neighborhood in southern Zurich. On the site of the former Sihlpapier factory, a mixed-use neighborhood was developed in accordance with the principles of the 2,000-watt society. An urban planning competition was held for this site in 2012, which JSWD won. Following further studies on the ideal use of the block, JSWD was commissioned with the architectural design of Building Lot C6, now known as the Manegghof. Behind the pre-weathered wood facade are nearly 180 age-appropriate apartments. Commercial spaces are located on the ground floor.
At the end of August 2026, our client, Losinger Marazzi, handed over the new building—now ready for occupancy—to its new owner, the Pensimo Investment Foundation.
