Award for the Cologne-Rodenkirchen district town hall
According to our plans, a public building is being built in the south of Cologne that will be independent of a fossil fuel energy supply during operation. The sustainably planned new building is based on the passive house construction method. Part of the demolition material will be reused in the façade. The technical concept provides for an energy supply via heat pump, ice storage and photovoltaic system. All these features are the basis for the award from the MWIKE (Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy) of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Tobias Unterberg, Partner at JSWD, presents our concept to the guests.
The NRW.Energy4Climate award will be presented to seven non-residential buildings. After a welcoming address by State Secretary Silke Krebs, the certificates are presented by Ms. Krebs and Mr. Petersdorff.
