JSWD among the three prize winners
The competition for the new Max Planck Campus Martinsried in Planegg in the Munich district was announced on December 17, 2024. Fifteen architectural firms participated in the first phase, six of which were selected for the second phase after the first jury meeting at the end of June 2025.
On November 4 and 5, the winning designs for this phase were selected. The jury, chaired by Tobias Wulf, awarded two second prizes and one third prize. It was determined that the designs show potential, but further adjustments and discussions are necessary. In addition to JSWD, the firms h4a Gessert+Radecker and Staab Architekten have now been asked to refine their designs.
The final design is to be selected by spring 2026. Implementation will take place in several construction phases.
