This is the title of a lecture event at the polis Akademie. Together with Andreas Röhrig, Managing Director of moderne stadt GmbH, our founder Konstantin Jaspert will talk about scale in urban design using the example of the Neue Mitte Porz. The project in Cologne's Porz district achieves precisely that: putting people at the center. And this in a place where for a long time a large department store blocked views as a foreign object and whose ruined building created spaces of fear. The urban planning by JSWD puts the focus back on the quality of life and creates living, living and shopping on a scale appropriate to the suburb. We developed the underlying feasibility study together with moderne Stadt. JSWD was also responsible for the general planning of the residential and commercial building (Building 1) and the underground parking garage for the quarter. clubL94 Landschaftsarchitekten were responsible for the open space planning.
