Topping-out ceremony for Haus Vergé in Zurich

Sustainable residential building in Greencity Manegghof

On September 8, Pensimo Management AG and Losinger Marazzi AG are hosting a topping-out ceremony at the Haus Vergé construction site, starting at 12 noon. The new building, which will feature 179 age-appropriate apartments and office and service space on the ground floor, is being built according to a design by JSWD.

In 2012, JSWD won first prize in the competition for the B6 construction site. At that time, the client Losinger Marazzi had planned an office and service building here. The use of the property has changed over time in response to the growing demand for service and communal living.

The Vergé building, named after a type of paper – there used to be a paper factory on the Manegg site – offers residents a green courtyard as a meeting place and retreat, among other things.

The new building will have a wooden façade made from renewable and minimally processed raw materials. This is one of the basis for the targeted SNBS (Swiss Standard for Sustainable Construction) Gold certification. In line with the guiding principle of the 2000-watt society of the sustainable GreenCity urban district, the new building will also be integrated into the area's heating network and equipped with a PV system.
