New Construction of the Vilnius Congress Center and Development of the Site
Client: City of Vilnius
Program: Congress Center for 4,500 participants, 17 rooms
GFA: 24.000 sqm
5th prize in cooperation with Cloud Architektai, Vilnius

The new Vilnius Conference Center is conceived as an open and accessible destination for both international visitors and the citizens of Vilnius. It reinforces the city’s role as a place of exchange, culture, and dialog. Its distinctive architectural form gives the complex a strong identity and recognizable presence within the urban landscape. At the same time, the building integrates seamlessly into its surroundings and respectfully responds to the nearby parliament building.

A publicly accessible roof landscape creates generous spaces for relaxation and gathering while offering spectacular views of the city and the natural landscape along the River Neris. The surrounding public realm is further enhanced by the new pedestrian bridge over the Neris.

The barrier-free building is clearly organized: open foyer facing the river, conference and ancillary rooms arranged along the sides, and service areas located toward the rear. The direct arrangement of the rooms provides structural and logistical efficiency while maximizing flexibility. Spaces can be combined or subdivided to accommodate events of different sizes.

The restaurant is located on the upper level of the congress center. Together with the adjacent public roof terrace, it offers visitors an impressive view over the urban skyline of Vilnius.
